My name is Chris Galloway and I am co-owner of Central Coast Coffee Roasting Company. I have been practicing and involved with wilderness skills schools since the early 90ís.
Five years ago my friend and wilderness skills mentor, Joe Dabill, asked me to help him teach a few classes at Headwaters Outdoor School. The school is owned by Tim Corcoran; a man who has truly opened up his land and his heart to the students. This is a place where adults and young people can learn earth skills in a safe and pristine environment. Nestled between Mt. Shasta and Mt. Eddy, Tim has created a school where learning wilderness skills is the tip of the iceberg, learning what you are capable of is the other 90%.
Who could think of a better formula than that, for young people? During a time of their lives when they are unsure of themselves and capabilities, Headwaters Outdoor School offers them the ability to become more confident not only in themselves, but in the knowledge that they can handle what life has to store.
That is why we at Central Coast Coffee Roasting Company have developed the Walker/Hupp Signature Coffee.
By purchasing this product, a portion of proceeds will go to the Walker/Hupp foundation.
The Walker/Hupp Fund is a non-profit organization created to help young men and women whose families do not have the financial resources to attend Headwaters Outdoor School either through the "Boys Rites of Passage" for the young men or through the apprenticeship program for both boys and girls.
