Celebrating 33 Year of Roasting!

On January 24, 1984, Norman & Gail Galloway purchased SLO Roasted Coffee and thirty-three years later brother and sister Chris & Julie Galloway are continuing to run the family business today.

Our father's hard work ethic, instilled in us at an early age, gave us the tools to carry SLO Roasted Coffee into the future by providing quality gourmet coffee to every customer.

Our father grew up working in our family’s grocery store, "Galloway Grocers", in Colton, California. After graduating from Colton High School, he entered the Navy during the Korean War. When the war ended he started working for Southern California Edison, making his way up the ladder then retiring after 25 years of hard work and relocating his family eight times. One year into retirement a unique opportunity was brought to his attention. A meeting that was supposed to be just a couple of hours turned into four hours with dad signing escrow papers on the business by the end.

Not knowing anything about roasting coffee, our father taught himself through lots and lots of trial and error. From using a 1946 Probat UG-22 to do 50 pounds of coffee per roast to a 1999 Probat G-60 doing 150 pounds per roast, SLO Roasted Coffee continues to roast coffee the same way we did in 1984.

Our drive and continual pursuit to achieve our father's goals of providing a superior grade of coffee and a reasonable price has brought SLO Roasted Coffee though thirty-three years of wonderful partnership with all of our customers.

We would like to thank each and every one of our current and past customers for all the years of support of SLO Roasted Coffee; we could not have done it without you.

As a way to say thank you we will be offering a one-day-only sale on January 24, 2017, of 33% off all coffee and merchandise online and in our retail shop.
